Ahasanul Islam titu is a renowned businessman, philanthropist, and current Member of Parliament for the Bangladesh for his constituency Tangail-6. He has over 30 years of professional work experience in various financial and industrial sectors including insurance, capital markets, and garments.

Born in 1969 in Tangail to a Muslim family, Ahasanul Islam Titu continued to pursue his education at the highest standards obtaining his MBA from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas, USA. Since then, he has been running the following industries and institutions in order to develop the economic and social standards in the country. There are Sandhani Life Insurance Co. Ltd, Purabi General Insurance Co. Ltd., Samorita Hospital Ltd, Mona Group of Garments Ltd. and Mona Financial Consultancy & Securities Ltd., City University.

Ahasanul Islam titu was an active member playing a leading role in the development and growth of these various sectors especially focused in playing an active role in the development of the insurance sector for over 25 years. He successfully served as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director & CEO of Sandhani Life Insurance Company Ltd. He is currently serving as an Advisor in Sandhani Life Insurance Company Ltd. His role in the economic development of the country and the impact he made is showcased in the form of leadership roles various business organizations such as: The Past President of Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd.(DSE), DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA), Past Vice-President of Bangladesh Insurance Association, Past Member of Executive Committee of Bangladesh Private University Association. Member of American Alumni Association (AAA), FBCCI and The Life Member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

He has played an important role in the development of the health and education system of the country and has been running the following institutions under his supervision to bring quality education and health care to the doorsteps of those lacking access in Bangladesh. He is the Chairman of City University, City Engineering Institute, MH Samorita Medical College & Hospital, MH Samorita Dental College, MH Samorita Nursing College. As a philanthropist, he has constantly involved with institutions that promote education and the future wellbeing on children and is the Founder/Contributor Member of Alhaj Mockbul Hossain University College, Nagorpur Women’s College, Atia Girls College, Delduar and Gayhata Udaytara High School, Nagurpur, Tangail, Alhaj Mockbul Hossain Etimkhana, Nagorpur and Madarkol Hafejia Etimkhana, Delduar, Tangail. He is an active member of various charities and clubs including: Abahani Limited (Director), Dhaka Club, Gulshan Club, North Club, Kurmitola Golf Club, Dhanmondi Recreation Centre, Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club, Bangladesh Club, Dhaka.

Currently, Ahasanul Islam titu has turned towards the development of the entire nation of Bangladesh and is a current Member of Parliament for Bangladesh from Tangail-6 (Nagarpur-Delduar) constituency of Tangail District. He is also a Member of Standing Committee on Public Accounts of the 11th Bangladesh National Parliament.
